COFFMAN OPTICAL HISTORY
Floyd Coffman started
Coffman Optical in 1951, and the business has remained in the same location ever since. In 1962, Harold Meyers began working at Coffman Optical as an optometrist. Harold was instrumental in getting his son-in-law, Gerald Ford, a job in 1965. It wasn't until 1982 that Gerald Ford purchased Coffman Optical, unknowingly starting a three-generation business. Matthew Ford began working as an optician in August of 1984. Matthew purchased the business from his father on January 2nd of 2012.
Zachary Ford also works alongside his father, Matthew, as an Optician. Because of its heritage, Coffman Optical prides itself in customer service rarely found today. We have a
large selection of frames, lenses built for your lifestyle, expert frame adjusting, as well as many frame repairs . The bottom line is: We're not happy until the customer is happy. GERALD FORD
Gerald is a Licensed and Dispensing Optician. He began working at Coffman Optical in 1965. Then, in 1982, he purchased the business. Gerald is still working part time after nearly 59 years of working at Coffman Optical.
MATTHEW FORD
Matthew is a Licensed and Dispensing Optician. He began working at Coffman Optical in August 1984. He purchased Coffman Optical in January 2012 from his father, Gerald. From specially designed lenses to designer frames , he has always enjoyed helping patients choose the perfect eyewear.
ZACHARY FORD
Zachary has been working as a Licensed and Dispensing Optician since 2007. Zach's favorite aspect of his work is helping the patient choose eyewear that accentuates their personal style. He also plays a large role in introducing new frame designs to our large selection of styles.
JAMES CATTARIN
Known in our office as 'Doc', Doctor Cattarin graduated from The Ohio State School of Optometry in 1961. He began working at Coffman Optical in 1977. Our patients have come to know and respect James for his quality and detailed eye-examinations.
